Kheops started its business in Canada in 1991 and in the USA in 1994; we were selling 3 products at that time. Over the years we have made it our priority to steadily increase our supply of products that have been manufactured using environmentally-sound methods with benevolent concerns for the health of the workers and for helping positive energies prevail during the making of these products.

With our experienced Sales representative travelling throughout the country, you'll receive proven business advice, tips and a chance to access more products than what we offer in our regular catalog.  They offer the invaluable service to bring samples to your door so that you can see, feel and smell the product prior to buying.

2011-2012 Projects

The 2011 Kheops budget includes the purchase of solar panels to reduce pollution by coal produced electricity

We plan to offset our carbon footprint made by the sales representatives' travels, by donating or planting new trees.

Our Actions

  • We offer a free organic lunch daily to our employees.
  • We recycle plastic containers and bags, shrink wrap, metal, glass, cardboard, paper, catalogs, magazines, newspapers and old computers.
  • We compost food scraps, coffee grinds, cafeteria napkins and paper hand towels.
  • We reuse packaging material as much as possible.
  • Our copy paper is made of 30% to 100% post-consumer recycled material.
  • We reuse all “one side printed” paper, file folders and paper clips.
  • We return empty ink cartridges to be refurbished or recycled.
  • Our brown packaging paper is made with 50-60% post-consumer recycled fibers, which are recyclable and biodegradable.
  • Our corrugated shipping boxes are made with 30% recycled material.
  • We are partners with the Waste-Wise program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
  • We have an “Inspector Green” making sure the trash is sorted properly by employees and we are constantly seeking out suggestions on how to improve and reduce the company’s global wastes.
  • The Kheops' catalog is printed with soy ink on 100% post-consumer paper.
  • Our company letterhead paper is 100% post-consumer paper.
  • Kheops is an active member of the Green Group Community.
  • We use energy-efficient light bulbs for the offices and warehouse.
  • We car pool.
  • We gather our errands to make fewer trips to the local banks, post office and stores.
  • We offer sugar and milk in bulk containers for coffee, to reduce waste.
  • We use ceramic mugs and plates in our cafeteria instead of paper or plastic cups.
  • We use hand air driers for the office restrooms
  • We offer our employees reusable shopping bags for their personal use.
  • We hang dish cloths to dry and save energy.
  • We don’t use any pesticides or chemical herbicides on our lawns and flower boxes.
  • We use natural & biodegradable cleaning products.
  • We use a reusable cleaning mops.
  • We participate in different local green projects by donations and volunteering our time.
